Inbound Channels Explained (Domestic)

A channel in this context relates to a simultaneous call. This can be seen on a call coming in and a call going out. e.g you make a call or you receive a call. Although you do pay for the call cost of the outbound call – Nehos do not charge for the outbound channel required to complete this. This means you only need worry about the call cost and not having to subscribe to a sufficient number of outbound ports/channels.

For inbound calls it’s treated very differently. There is no inbound cost for the call but you do use resources. To cover our costs we charge a nominal fee for more than one simultaneous call to one Direct in Dial number.

All prices quoted gst inclusive:

Example 1. Single Australian in dial number $5.95 per month – this comes with 1 inbound Channel included.

Example 2. One Hundred numbers range $50.00 per month – this comes with 1 inbound Channel included.

In order to increase the capacity of your inbound number you subscribe to additional inbound channels @ $5 per channel per month.

e.g A single number 02 9381 3456 and you want the ability to support 4 simultaneous inbound calls at any one time. That’s $5.95 for the number with one channel and 3 x $5 for each of the extra channels required. Total monthly costs for this one number and 4 channel inbound capacity is $20.95 per month.

e.g A 100 number range and you want up-to 10 inbound call capacity. That’s $50 + 9 x $5 for each of the extra channels required. Total monthly costs for this one number and 10 channel inbound capacity is $95 per month.

If you have more calls presented than subscribed channels then the caller will hear “busy” tone. You can also increase or decrease your channel count from your customer panel with immediate effect.

There are further economies of scale for those that buy multiple direct in dial numbers (DiDs). We aggregate your channel count across ALL your DiDs. E.g if you purchase 4 x single numbers your total channel count is 4. This means you can receive up to four inbound calls into your account across any of your numbers and not have to purchase any further channels (unless as in this example you would like more than four simultaneous calls).
